What's Included in SubSorted Premium?

SubSorted is free to download and use. The core features — adding subscriptions, getting reminders, and managing your list — work without paying anything.

Premium exists for people who want more from the app. It removes friction, adds convenience, and supports ongoing development. Here's exactly what's included in each tier — no vague marketing language.

What's free forever

These features are available to everyone, with no limits and no expiry:

  • Add subscriptions — manual entry, receipt scanning, and voice notes.
  • Renewal reminders — notifications before each subscription renews, including trial-end reminders.
  • Edit, archive, and delete — full control over your subscription list.
  • Offline support — everything works without an internet connection.
  • On-device storage — your data stays on your phone, private and secure.
  • One profile — a single subscription list for your personal use.

This covers the essentials. For most people with a handful of subscriptions, the free version does everything you need.

Reminders are always free

We will never put basic renewal reminders behind a paywall. Reminding you before something charges is the entire point of SubSorted. That stays free.

What Premium adds

Premium is designed to be useful, not essential. It adds features that save time or give you more flexibility:

Multiple profiles

Track subscriptions for different contexts — personal, household, business, or a family member's. Each profile has its own subscription list and reminder settings.

Cancellation email generation

SubSorted can draft a cancellation email for you based on the subscription and provider. You review it, edit it if needed, and send it yourself. The app never sends anything on your behalf.

Merchant contact details

Access direct contact information and cancellation links for common UK subscription services. This saves you the time of searching for the right phone number, email address, or cancellation page.

Smart reminders

Fine-tune reminder timing on a per-subscription basis. Set different lead times for different subscriptions — a week for that expensive annual renewal, a day for a small monthly one. Free users get sensible defaults; Premium users get precise control.

What Premium costs

SubSorted Premium is available as:

  • Monthly — £2.99 per month
  • Annual — £29.99 per year (equivalent to about £2.50/month)

Both options are billed through the App Store or Google Play. You can cancel at any time through your phone's subscription settings.

No free trial pressure

We don't start you on a trial that auto-converts. If there's ever a trial offer, you'll know exactly when it ends and what happens next — because that's literally what SubSorted is built to help you track.

What happens if you cancel Premium

If you cancel your Premium subscription, here's exactly what happens:

  • You keep access until the end of your billing period. If you've paid for a month or a year, you get the full time you've paid for.
  • Your data stays exactly where it is. Nothing is deleted, moved, or locked. All your subscriptions, notes, and history remain on your device.
  • Free features continue working. Reminders, manual entry, editing, archiving — all of it carries on as normal.
  • Premium features become unavailable. Multiple profiles revert to your primary profile (others are preserved but hidden). Cancellation email generation and merchant contact details are no longer accessible. Smart reminder customisation reverts to defaults.

The important point: cancelling Premium never affects your data or your basic reminders. You go back to the free experience, which is a complete and functional app in its own right.

What about multiple profiles?

If you've created additional profiles with Premium and then cancel, the extra profiles are hidden but not deleted. Your primary profile becomes the active one. If you resubscribe later, your other profiles reappear with all their data intact.

Our approach to pricing

We believe the free version of SubSorted should be genuinely useful on its own. Premium isn't about unlocking what should have been free — it's about adding features that go beyond the basics for people who want them.

We'll never:

  • Lock basic reminders behind a paywall.
  • Limit the number of subscriptions you can add for free.
  • Show persistent upgrade prompts that get in the way.
  • Create artificial friction to push you towards paying.

If you find value in the free version and never upgrade, that's fine. The app works as intended. If you find Premium useful, we appreciate the support — it keeps SubSorted independent and ad-free.
